Coaching Staff

  • Macie Sparks

Hello! I swam for Paddlers for fourteen years and swam year-round for a number of years, as well. I started my freshman year of college swimming for Maryville University in STL but have since transferred. I have been a coach and lifeguard at Paddlers for the past couple of summers and have taught private and group swim lessons, too. I graduated from college with a degree in Biblical and Educational Studies and am working on by masters. I am so excited for this summer!

Hi Everyone! I am Emma an I am 22 years old. I am in my last year at Millikin University, majoring in Secondary Education Biological Sciences. I will graduate in December :) I just completed my final year as a college swimmer and have officially retired as a competitive swimmer after 17 years. My career goals are to teach Biology Sciences at the high school level and o continue to coach swimming at all levels. When I am not attending classes, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love boating, swimming, fishing, camping, going to concerts an traveling to the beach and mountains. When at home, you can find me spending quality time with my three cats-Heisenberg, Hank and Milo. I am excited to be back coaching the amazing kids on the Paddlers Team!

Hey everyone! I am so excited to return to coach at Padders this summer! I go to school at Lindenwood University where I play D1 Soccer. I m majoring in Elementary Education and minoring in coaching. I swam on the paddlers swim team for 9 years and loved being part of the amazing culture. Getting to watch our swimmers improve as the summer progresses is one of my greatest joys. I’m grateful to be joining for another fabulous season!

  • Brady Smallie

Yo! I am Brady and I’m excited to be joining the Paddlers Swim Team staff. I have been a member of the swim team for 13 seasons and am looking forward to finishing my swim career this summer as both a teammate and assistant coach. After graduating GCHS this spring, I plan to attend college to study sports medicine.

  • Rachel Clark

I joined the Paddlers swim and dive team at the ages of six and seven years old. I quickly fell in love with both sports. I had amazing coaches that instilled hard work and dedication. In order to improve my skills, I did extra training at the Rec Plex in St. Peter's. During my career as a Paddler's diver, I won 7 SWISA championships. I am currently an occupational therapist with the Granite City School District. I'm looking forward to being back on the Paddler's team and working with these amazing kids.
